Hold onto your rainbow flags, folks, because Madrid Pride is back in 2025, and it’s set to be a spectacle you won’t want to miss! Spanning from June 27 to July 6, this vibrant celebration attracts over 2 million people from around the globe, making it one of Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ events.
The main event, the Pride Parade on Saturday, July 5, kicks off at 7:00 p.m. Expect a dazzling procession of 50 colourful floats, party buses and lively walking groups, all cruising from Atocha to Plaza de Colón. It’s a moving sea of rainbows that’ll make you want to dance in the streets.
Leading up to the parade, the city buzzes with a plethora of events, including the High Heel Race on July 3, where participants sprint in stilettos—talk about putting the ‘run’ in runway! Plus, the Mr. Gay Pride Spain contest on July 4 showcases some serious charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.
Madrid’s Chueca district, the heart of the LGBTQ+ community, comes alive with street parties, concerts and a palpable sense of freedom and joy. Whether you’re there to march, party, or simply soak in the love, Madrid Pride offers an unforgettable experience that solidifies its status as a must-visit event in Europe’s cultural calendar.
